Soon it will be Valentine’s Day.A day when lovers express their love for their beloved by sending them either boxes of chocolates or bouquets of roses – more specifically RED ROSES.
From the time immemorial, red rose has signified love and affection. During the time of ancient Greeks, the red rose was considered holy, as it was associated with Greek Goddess Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love and Affection.
Later on with the Valentine’s Day latching onto the western psyche, the significance and corresponding demand of the red rose increased, resulting an increase in the popularity of its ‘varied cousins’ as well.
